Associate Director / Senior Technical Resource

An exciting position has become available at our client for a person with 8 years applicable experience of which 4 years must have been obtained in Mining and Metals. 

The candidate will have a BSc Qs / BTech QS  or equivalent and have Professional Body Registration in any of the areas of Project Controls Delivery: Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Scheduling.

The person will be required to deliver individual technical excellence, Generate new business, Develop client relationships, Support the strategic planning initiatives of Mining and Metals in Africa and Globally, Commercially manage the delivery of a variety of commissions in accordance with our client's Business Management Systems including

• Team utilisation
• Team profitability
• Invoicing and debt management

To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management service.  The successful candidate will amongst other conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports, manage estimating and cost planning activities, managing and taking ownership of the procurement process,  Value engineering, risk management and life cycle costing where applicable and manage Staff where appropriate.
